Sometimes, affording pet food can be tough, and during those times, we are here to help you.
At the Humane Society of Somerset County, we understand that sometimes people have to choose between feeding themselves or their pets. We want to assist you in caring for your pet even during challenging times. That’s why we offer our Pet Food Pantry.
We distribute food throughout the year, with dates varying based on availability. Please check our Facebook page for upcoming dates. At these distributions, we will have wet and dry cat and dog food, as well as kitty litter, available for those who need assistance. We cannot guarantee the availability, quantity, or type of food at each distribution. Our ability to offer this service relies on the donations we receive from our generous supporters. Distribution is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check our Facebook page regularly to confirm dates and times.
These distributions are intended for individuals who may face economic hardship and have difficulty purchasing food for their pets.
If you want to donate pet food for this program, you can drop off your donations at our shelter location. Please call ahead to schedule an appointment, and we will make every effort to accommodate your schedule.
