Meet some of our happily adopted pets and their new families.
My Christmas Present
"What a model! Don't you love the way the light reflected Christmas red and green from his mismatched eyes? What a day! So glad we had it together. Many thanks."
A note on our boy, Alban: He made the trip beautifully. We stopped in Pinehurst, NC where my daughter had a birthday dinner for David, my 16-year-old grandson, who otherwise might not have enjoyed a long conversation with Granny. He came up to the guest room and for over an hour we lounged on the bed, petting Alban and chatting about the meaning of life. What a time!
Alban was excellent on the trip, no wailing or mess. We were at a rest stop and a couple walked past with a chihuahua on a leash. Alban thought that was the funniest thing he had ever seen. He looked at me like, "Are you seeing this too?!"
He is certainly one fine little chap thanks to your quality upbringing. -Jeanne
"I hope I'm correct in saying he likes being here as much as we like having him here! Thanks for bringing us all together."
Smokey has grown into a fine young feline! He is absolutely gorgeous. His coat is silky soft. He's quite independent (certainly not a lap cat!), but gets along famously with all the other critters. He, like our other cat Lucky, is an inside-outside cat.
One of the beauties of living in the country is that they come and go as they please without us having to worry about traffic, etc. Smokey loves lazing on the back step with one eye closed and one eye on the bird activity in a nearby tree.
He also loves following me to the back of the property each day to take care of our horses. I feel like the Pied Piper strolling through the woods to the barn accompanied by a yellow lab and two cats. What a motley crew!
Smokey has several favorite lounging areas in the house, the kitchen table, kitchen sink, bathroom sink, and, my favorite, snuggled up against our black dog on the living room chair! -Teri
